Committee Description
The Economic and Social Council is one of the major UN bodies in charge of encouraging global collaboration in on economic, social, and developmental issues. The committee tackles issues related to sustainable development, inequality, economic stability, and societie’s long-term resilience. ECOSOC works to improve institutions and develop solutions to new global problems that jeopardize social and economic progress via cooperation and communication.

President's letter
Esteemed Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Economic and Social Council! As your President, I am honored to guide you through these sessions and to witness the ideas, discussions, and solutions you bring to this distinguished confrence.
Reaching this position has been a journey that took time, patience, and dedication. From taking my first steps in MUN to growing through every debate and challenge, each experience has shaped the way I approach diplomacy and leadership. It is a privilege to now be able to share this experience with all of you.
The topics before us address complex economic challenges that extend far beyond individual nations. From the growing influence of cryptocurrency across Latin America to the economic consequences of instability in the Strait of Hormuz, both topics highlight how interconnected our global economy has become.
I look forward to welcoming you all to ECOSOC and to seeing the passion, creativity, and diplomacy you bring to our debates. I wish you the very best of luck and hope you make the most of this experience.
